Civica

For AI assistants and agents

Give your AI the real facts on citizenship tests

Civica runs a free, read-only Model Context Protocol server. Connect it once and your assistant can answer questions about the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Germany, Netherlands and Denmark tests with the format, pass mark and official source, instead of guessing.

Server URL
https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp

Connect in a minute

Claude (claude.ai and Desktop)

Open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste the server URL. Menu names vary a little by plan and app version.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http civica https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp

Cursor

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project's .cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "civica": {
      "url": "https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code

Add to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "civica": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Any other MCP client

Choose a remote server over Streamable HTTP, paste the URL, and leave authentication empty. Clients that only speak stdio can use a bridge such as mcp-remote.

npx mcp-remote https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp

ChatGPT and other chat apps

Where your plan supports custom MCP connectors (often called developer mode), add a remote server with the URL above and no authentication. Availability depends on your plan and workspace settings.

What your assistant will and will not get

For developers

JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP POST, JSON responses only, no sessions. GET returns 405. The limit is 60 requests per minute per IP, and request bodies are capped at 16 KB. Quick check from a terminal:

curl -s https://api.citizenleap.com/mcp \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"get_track_info","arguments":{"country":"uk"}}}'

The same eight tests are covered in short lessons, level quizzes and practice questions. The core course is free.
