Terms and Conditions
Effective date: September 29, 2026 · Version: 1.2
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of Civica, a citizenship test study service available at citizenleap.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Civica is, and is not
Civica is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, immigration authority, or official test provider.
- Civica does not provide legal or immigration advice. Nothing in the Service creates a lawyer–client or advisory relationship.
- Questions, answers, and summaries are written to help you study. Official test content, formats, fees, eligibility rules, and requirements are set by the relevant authority and change without notice. Always check the official source before relying on anything here. We link to official sources where we can.
- We do not guarantee that content is complete, current, or error-free.
- We do not guarantee that you will pass any test, be granted citizenship or any immigration status, or achieve any particular result. Practice scores and "readiness" indicators are study tools, not predictions.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating one you confirm that you are.
- Give accurate information, including your real name, and keep it up to date.
- You can sign up with an email and password or with Google. Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One person per account. Do not share or resell access.
4. Free and Premium
- Lessons and level quizzes are free. Premium adds features such as mock exams, adaptive review, audio and speak-aloud practice, and readiness insights. Premium is sold as access for a fixed period (1 month or 3 months). What each includes is shown in the app when you choose a plan.
- We may change, add, or remove features, and may change prices. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for. For an auto-renewing subscription, a new price applies from the next renewal after at least 30 days' notice.
5. Payments, renewal, and cancellation
5.1 Who you are buying from. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service for payments and handles refunds and returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. We never see or store your full card number.
5.2 Prices and taxes. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, VAT, or GST that applies to you is calculated and added at checkout by Paddle, based on your location.
5.3 One-time access (the default). Unless you choose otherwise at checkout, a plan is a single payment for a fixed period of Premium access that starts when your payment is confirmed. It does not renew. When the period ends, Premium access ends unless you buy again. If you buy another period while one is running, the new period starts when the current one ends.
5.4 Auto-renew (optional). Auto-renew is off unless you turn it on by ticking the auto-renew box when you check out. If you do, the price shown at checkout is charged again for the same period at the end of each period until you turn auto-renew off. You can turn it off at any time in your account, before the next charge. Premium then continues to the end of the period you have paid for and you will not be charged again. While a subscription is still running you can turn auto-renew back on from the same place. A one-time period that is already running cannot be converted into a subscription part-way through; you can start auto-renew when it ends.
5.5 Refunds. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any purchase or renewal charge, by contacting Paddle or us at admin@citizenleap.com. A refund ends the access it paid for. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law of your country requires otherwise or as described in section 12. These Terms do not limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
5.6 Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we may suspend Premium access until it is resolved.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: use the Service unlawfully; try to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorised to; disrupt or overload the Service; scrape or copy the content in bulk; reverse engineer the Service; or use it to cheat on, or misrepresent yourself in, any official test or application.
7. Content and intellectual property
The Service, its design, and our original content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own study. Test topics are drawn from publicly available government material; we do not claim ownership of official content. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Features that use your device or browser, such as text-to-speech voices, depend on what your device provides. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or change it at any time.
9. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, fees, or goodwill;
- we are not liable for any outcome of a citizenship, immigration, or other application or test, including failing a test, delays, rejected applications, or costs you incur relying on the Service; and
- our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) US$50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for losses, claims, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering Premium, or end your Premium access without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will ask you to accept the new version, or give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
14. Governing law and disputes
Civica is operated from India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere. Please contact us first and we will try to resolve any issue informally.
